Top Ten Stars to Watch Out For in The Avengers 2012

03 September 2011
The sneak peak of The Avengers in Captain America's credits made us really excited  and left us wanting for more. Here is the list of the actors of ranked to how much we look forward to seeing them in the big screen.

10. Stan Lee

He is said to have a cameo appearance. Well, he really is not an actor, but we are curious on how the co-creator of the comic book series will show up in the film.

9. Tom Hiddleston

Tom Hiddleston (UK TABLOID NEWSPAPERS OUT) Tom Hiddleston attends the Jameson Empire Awards 2011 held at Grosvenor House on March 27, 2011 in London, England.

Hiddleston reprised his role as Loki, the archenemy of Thor. Did you know that he auditioned for the role of Thor? He even went through a diet, but the director decided that he was more suited to play the character's adoptive brother instead.

8. Jeremy Renner

Jeremy Renner is set to play Hawkeye, "The World's Greatest Marksman." He probably is best known for playing the main character in The Hurt Locker which earned him a Best Actor nomination in the 2009 Academy Awards.

7. Samuel  Jackson

He is playing the role of Nick Fury, the director of the super-spy agency S.H.I.E.L.D. Jackson appeared in over a hundred films including Kill Bill Vol. 2 and Inglorious Basterds, but his role which stuck to our minds when we hear his name is Coach Carter. We look forward to seeing him interact with the superheroes for more than a few seconds considering his last minute appearances in Iron Man and Captain America.

6. Mark Ruffalo

Ruffalo is playing Bruce Banner, aka Hulk, which was formerly played by Edward Norton. We remember him as Jennifer Garner's childhood sweetheart in 13 Going on 30, but his role in The Kids Are All Right is what earned him an Academy Award Nomination for Best Supporting Actor. He is also a director, producer, and screenwriter.

5. Scarlett Johansson

The Green Lantern's ex-wife is set to reprise her role as Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, from Iron Man 2. Her character doesn't really have any super powers. She really is just good in combat. Johansson rose to fame the movies The Horse Whisperer and Ghost World. Some of her other movies are The Nanny Diaries, The Other Boleyn Girl, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, and He's Just Not That  into You.

4. Cobie Smulders

Yes, Robin Scherbatsky is in The Avengers movie, playing Maria Hill, a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. Cobie is a Canadian actress and former model who rose to fame in How I Met Your Mother. She was actually considered by Joss Whedon to be Wonder Woman in his draft of the cancelled live action film with the same name. We are excited to see Cobie on the big screen and play a different role even if it's not one of the main characters.

3. Chris Hemsworth

Chris is back to play Thor. Did you know that he almost did not get the role in the first place? He was initially dropped from consideration and then given another chance to read for the part. 2012 will surely be a good and busy year for Chris. Aside from Being Thor, he will also be portraying Eric, the Huntsman, alongside Kristen Stewart in Snow White and the Huntsman.

2. Chris Evans

Captain America is also back fresh from his 2011 movie. Some of Chris' roles in films are The Human Torch in Fantastic Four, Harvard Hottie in The Nanny Diaries, Jake Jensen in The Losers, and Lucas Lee in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, but Captain America is his biggest movie so far. He surely left us wanting more. We can't wait to see Chris again in the The Avengers.

1. Robert Downey, Jr.

Tony Stark

After two years, Tony Stark will be back on the big screen. Although we've seen Robert Downey, Jr as Harry Lockhart, Kirk Lazarus, Sherlock Holmes, and a lot of other characters, we still love him the most when he plays the billionaire industrialist, and ingenious engineer, Tony Stark. We are so excited to see him be the Iron Man again next year.

There goes our list for the actors in The Avengers movie. Don't agree wth us? Leave us a comment. :)

They are not part of the avengers. But as far as we know, there seems to be an episode(in the comic book series)where the two groups worked together. We don't think the movie would focus on that since they were just recently formed. So, it's unlikely that Chris Evans will play multiple roles.

Thanks for your comment :)
